Every child should have the chance to achieve their best
But more than 1.2 million young Australians are living in poverty, trapped in circumstances beyond their control and robbed of that opportunity.1 And the current cost-of-living crisis is hitting families living in poverty the hardest.
With limited access to learning resources, no access to digital essentials or a quiet place to study, children like Nic will continue to face ongoing challenges because of poverty, no matter how hard he and his family try.
Pledge a monthly gift now and become a Champion. You'll ensure many more children in Nic’s position get the extra, ongoing learning and mentoring support they urgently need to achieve all they're capable of.
This is an opportunity that every child deserves, and one we can make possible for more Australian children, with your support.

Help more children reach their potential with proven learning programs
Research shows that early intervention, as well as balanced, ongoing support throughout their education, can improve outcomes for students living with disadvantage.3
Your monthly donation helps enable our programs to reach many more Australian children in Owen’s position – giving them access to our evidence-based, out-of-school learning and mentoring support at every stage of their education. Here are just some of the life-changing programs that our monthly givers make possible:
student2student
Our student2student program works by matching students who need to improve their literacy skills with trained reading buddies to build their confidence.
Learning Clubs
Our out-of-school Learning Clubs provide a supportive environment for students to catch up, improve their skills and get tailored learning support from caring volunteer tutors.
Passport Program
Children in Year 6 are empowered to learn crucial, practical skills to help them transition to high school successfully and be prepared for the next stage of their school journey.
You can give children like Owen a chance to build a better future for themselves
